A great organization that effectively uses it's limited resources for a very socially worthy cause, maintaining a volunteer organization for Court Appointed Special Advocates that speak "for the child" in court in cases involving their displacement from their home, usually due to neglect and/or abuse.
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... though the eyes of their volunteers where they, the volunteers, know that they have really made a difference.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... that they are very receptive and open minded to change.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... extremely devoted, intelligent and competent.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... save Fulton County and the state of Georgia ten to thirty times that amount by keeping future criminals off the street by better addressing the needs of these kids.
Ways to make it better!
- My experience would have been better if... the organization had the IT structure to provide information easily.
- If I ran this organization, I would... Continue to a culture build around the CASA and other volunteers.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... The need for CASA's is overwhelming. They must stay very focused to optimize their mission.
- One thing I'd also say is that... The 501 (c) 3 status of this social organization is a model for future programs that don't run well as government entities.
