Well, where do I start? I came to Hope Restoration Ministries in 2007 all the way from California. When I arrived in Tennessee I had no place to live, no transportation, no money, no job, no licence, and I was not attending school. When I went to Hope Restoration Ministries with these issues I immediately recieved help. Within weeks I was found a place to live. I was appointed a Case Manager and not only did she help me search for jobs, she even took me on interviews. Within 1 day of searching for a job and was offered a position at a sturdy, reliable company. I am still with the same company today. Shortly after finding a place to live and getting a job I was accepted into a major university. Not only did Hope Restoration Ministries help me with these issues I was also taught how to manage my money, how to balance my check book, and began to learn how to drive. Hope Restoration Ministries helped me learn how to drive and I got my licence on the first attempt. Also, I began to save money and bought a car. Hope Restoration Ministries helped me become the woman I am today and is still helping me to be a more responsible, wiser person.
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... myself, as well as other clients.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... seeing myself change as well as others. THey will not give up on you and will not let you give up on yourself and that is GREAT!
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... AWESOME! I've never seen such a wonderful CEO who just genuinely wants to help youth and make a change in the community. They just want to see people make it.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... it could and WOULD by a HUGE mansion and take in as many youth as possible to fight homelessness and increase independancy!
Ways to make it better!
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... Exposure. I believe more people should know about this organization so that more lives can be changed.
- One thing I'd also say is that... These people don't want anything in return, they just want to see young people be a success in life and make it.
