North Hills Community Outreach

I have been a volunteer for NHCO for over ten years so I have seen this wonderful organization grow in their desire to help people in need and reach out to the community. We have been through floods in the Pine Creek area and Millvale. Those disasters taught us so much about what our mission should be and that is what we do. We feed, clothe, find jobs, help with utilities, provide rides for people for shopping and doctor appointments and provide counseling and the list goes on and on. I am very proud to be part of this wonderful organization.
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... the providing of food, utilities, counseling and jobs - many people say thank you to us and that they would be out on the street without our help.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... how the recipients are so thankful and appreciative of what we provide.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... Kind, compassionate, self-sacrificing and happy to do what they do for people.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Through the effective and skilled leadership of Executive Director Fay Morgan many of the needs of the people of this country could be solved.
Ways to make it better!
- My experience would have been better if... I would be able to give more of my time.
- If I ran this organization, I would... enlarge our current facility.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... not enough hours in a day and the need to constantly look for money to help everyone in need.
- One thing I'd also say is that... God bless North Hills Community Outreach!
MY ROLE: I was a Volunteer & I help in the office and with special projects that come up.
