Awesome organization! Very mission driven, and willing to help any and all people in need of basic life skills and resources.
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... transitional housing, food pantries, wheels of work, education and refferals.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... the wonderful attitude of our staff.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... really friendly! And so generous. It still amazes me how willing those are that help to give of their time and treasure to The Lighthouse.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... reach millions of people! All joking aside, I have never worked for a more fiscally responsible organization. And the money truly does go towards programs.
Ways to make it better!
- My experience would have been better if... there were more kids able to attend the trip!
- If I ran this organization, I would... continue the great work--maybe even expand programs to encompass more people.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... awareness and monetary funding. While those who know about the Lighthouse are very familiar, and aware, those who have never been exposed to us tend to be clueless about what we do.
- One thing I'd also say is that... The Lighthouse is unlike any other social service agency i've encountered. I am amazed by the dedication shown by the staff--it is truly unique, and the culture here is so positive. An amazing job to have!
MY ROLE: I was a Professional with expertise in this field & I chaperoned a teen trip for their youth outreach program.
