This organization is wonderful! I am a new volunteer and have enjoyed every second of my time here thus far! The staff at NHCO works day in and day out to ensure that people in the community are able to live a quality life and keep their dignity. My elderly grandmother takes advantage of one of their services - - the "free rides for seniors bus." This bus has allowed her to keep many of her freedoms and still meet friends for lunch, attend doctors appointments, and go shopping.
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... the thankful people that the staff at NHCO have been able to assist. People are so thankful to have this type of help and cannot say thank you enough!
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... so passionate about their work and the people that they are providing services to!
Ways to make it better!
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... resources...monetary and staff based.
MY ROLE: I was a Volunteer & Volunteer/Intern working in the North Boroughs office
