United Way does good work in its fundraising for other charities. Impressive is that the organization starts its fundraising from scratch every year and is able to raise up to 30 million bucks. Wow. The staff are also very friendly!

- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... friendly! Also took time to explain the workings of United Way, which was really helpful for the purpose of clarifying.
Ways to make it better!
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... More money would be nice!
- One thing I'd also say is that... I believe in the mission of United Way to aid other charities that provide direct care and impact to their communities!

PUMP's mission of trying to connect young professionals in Pittsburgh is a worthy cause towards retaining young people in the City. I think their 40 under 40 is a great idea that inspires young people to press on with their work of revitalizing the City.

The Coro Fellowship Program is unlike any program in which I have participated. It brings together young people who are truly passionate about effecting positive change in their world. The fellows I currently work with are intelligent, informed, and driven. The Coro staff is supportive for the most part and are usually there as recourse for Fellows. The space in Pgh is amazing and accessible. Coro also provides access to city leaders; and our placements really seem to connect with understanding the civic operations of the city. There is a strong element of leadership training in the program. Coro is challenging, but if a right fit for the participant, is extremely enjoyable. In the future, I would like to see more cultural and socio-economic diversity amongst fellows. And, if this is subtly present and I haven't yet picked up on it (not finished with the experience), I hope that there are upcoming structured opportunities to explore this issue of diversity in our group.

- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... the dedicated people I've met and the challenging and interesting projects to which Fellows have been exposed.

- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... afford to give all fellows stipends; have a greater number of staff members to run its operation.
Ways to make it better!
- My experience would have been better if... I'm still a participant, but more realistic timeframes to obtain thorough, quality end results for projects...perhaps a longer time period for the program, say an actual year, so that things are not so crammed.
- If I ran this organization, I would... Hold a large fundraising gala; update the computer facilities.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... funding; more impressive recruitment. The Fellows Program really is remarkable...I wish more people were aware of it.
- One thing I'd also say is that... I'd like to see more interaction among centers, that is more interaction and interfacing amongst fellows in NY, Pgh, St. L, LA, and SF.
