This organization's mission is to save lives through the public banking of umbilical cord blood. Cord blood has lifesaving potential because it yields stem cells which can be transplanted into patients suffering from as many as 70 different diseases. The Foundation's work is at the cutting edge of medicine and is non-controversial (unlike embryonic stem cells) and non-invasive. - If I ran this organization, I would... The organization is extremely well run and benefits from excellent organizational skills on the part of its volunteer board members.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... many charities competing for public and private funding of noble causes.
- One thing I'd also say is that... I admire and respect Dr. Pang for his utmost dedication to this cause in his daughter's memory. He is a shining star for all of us.
