I found out about Opportunity Junction by word of mouth. I applied to be part of class 25. After being accepted, I knew it was sort of a last hope for me. I went through the 12 week training phase. It was really tough and there were many times I wanted to give up. August 29th will be my last day here at Opportunity Junction and I am so excited to start a new career with the skills gained from this wonderful program. Opportunity Junction is an awsome program. It gave me hope to become a better person for me and my family.
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... action because I am a participant.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... the wonderful staff. They have believed in me when I felt no one else did.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... wonderful, caring and motivating.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... do some wonderful renovations.
Ways to make it better!
- My experience would have been better if... I didn't have as many distractions from home.
- If I ran this organization, I would... keep everything the way it is.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... The economy.
- One thing I'd also say is that... This little building really changes peoples lives.
