Peninsula Bridge does an incredible job of preparing youth from underserved neighborhoods along the 101 corridor of the SF Peninsula to be successful when they enter high school. They do this with a commitment to teach the basics of math and English while providing a rich program that is fun and interesting for the students. The organizers, site directors, teachers, mentors and everyone else who is involved are passionate about their mission and do a tremendous job of making the students feel cared for.

- I've seen the results of this organization in... the enthusiasm of the students for learning and doing well in school.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... working with the students themselves and seeing the great potential that can be unleashed with a little focused attention and genuine caring.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... youthful, energetic, smart, committed.
Ways to make it better!
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... generating more awareness of the program within the general community and potential donor community and reaching out to more students without sacrificing the great quality of the program.
MY ROLE: I was a Volunteer & taught photography and volunteer as staff photographer for the program
