Target demographics: We serve poverty stricken individuals and families with disabilities who are living in or around Mazatlan, Mexico. We recycle donated mobility equipment from the USA and donate it to people in Mexico who can not afford the equipment that they so desperately need.

Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Someone with 3 hours to volunteer could help us load equipment into a container headed to Mexico, collect equipment in their area, help plan a fundraiser, help in the office.... Contact us, there is plenty of work to be done!

Mission:

Push International works to provide sustainable, mobile, communities for people with disabilities in need in Mexico. Push International collects new and used mobility and therapy equipment in the USA, refurbishes, redistributes and personally adjusts each and every piece of equipment to benefit people who do not have access to these services. Push shares a campus in Mazatlan, Mexico with Padres y Compadres. Together we have a wheelchair repair and refurbishing shop staffed all year round to provide sustainable services, adjustments and maintenance to the equipment we deliver.

Results:

Over the last 5 years, Push International has welcomed over 24 teams of volunteers from the USA, Canada and Guam to our facility in Mexico. Together we have distributed over 2,000 pieces of mobility equipment to people with disabilities in need. We have employed people with disabilities, provided countless therapy interventions and home programs, modified people's homes to increase wheelchair accessibility and much much more!

Wonderful people and warm atmosphere at Padres y Compadres. I loved the entire experience, from the cultural aspects of the locals and town to the wheelchair distributions and treatment we provided. Overall, it was an amazing trip. I'm going back next year to help again... more »

I went down to Mexico through PUSH International without knowing what to expect and left pleasantly surprised. This trip was a great mix of experiencing the culture as well as providing service to the community. I learned so much from the people we helped. Looking forward to going back again... more »

Push International is an organization that provides wheelchairs for people lacking mobility in their community. This trip took us to Mazatlan, Mexico where we fitted over 80 wheelchairs to specific people and left 120+ chairs to be given out at later dates. These donated chairs are provided by the ... more »
