Target demographics: Pregnant youth age 14-22 who are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless as a result of their pregnancy.

Direct beneficiaries per year: 17

Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Help a young woman prepare a new recipe for dinner for all who reside in the home.

Mission:

Provide a safe haven to youth in crisis pregnancy to allow them to make informed choices moving forward in the best interest of themselves and their babies.

Results:

Have provided food, shelter, access to prenatal care, etc to a total of 60 pregnant young women. The average age being 17. There have been over 50 babies born healthy as a result of care provided at Living Grace Home.
In 2010 there have been 17 moms who have spent all or part of their pregnancy at Living Grace Home.

Without Living Grace, I can only ponder what alternative our young mothers-to-be could be forced into. Would they be left homeless, would they be unable to benefit from counseling, medical treatment, learning home skills as well as caring and tending of a newborn, continue their education or ... more »
