Mission:
Dance New Amsterdam's (DNA) mission is to provide a dynamic environment in support of contemporary dance education, creation and performance. DNA promotes the advancement of contemporary dance through a multi-faceted, comprehensive and integrated approach that: supports the complete dancer with classes, workshops, and performance opportunities focused on technique development, wellness and creativity; fosters the creation and development of new works through commissions, residencies and subsidies; produces and presents contemporary works by aspiring, emerging and established artists; and builds participation in and appreciation of dance artistry through audience engagement and interaction.

DNA is a great place to take cheap dance classes as well as attend world class performances. Their cozy theater allows you to be really in tune with the emotional experience of their dance shows...
