Target demographics:
Bring Me A Book serves under resourced communities throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Stockton and Southern California. We focus on providing the highest quality, hardcover children’s literary classics to children 0-7 years old in state funded preschools, headstarts, elementary schools, hospitals and clinics and community centers. Our First Teachers program teaches parents and caregivers the importance of reading aloud to children on a daily basis for future success in school and life.
Results to date:
To date, Bring Me A Book has delivered over 1,400 of our trademark Bookcase Libraries to sites in 14 states and 7 countries throughout the world impacting over 450,00 children and parents. We have conducted over 400 First Teacher trainings to reach over 6,000 parents, teachers and caregivers.
Your donation of 200 enables us to:
provide a replenishment of new, hardcover books to an existing Bookcase Library site.
Your donation of 500 enables us to:
conduct a First Teacher Training workshop to educate parents and caregivers on the importance of reading aloud.
Your donation of 800 enables us to:
place a Bookcase Library filled with 35 hard cover children’s classic literature in a school or site with few to no books.
