I have been working with One Simple Wish for over a year now, and I've always found One Simple Wish to be fast, effective, and precise when it comes to its purpose- granting wishes for foster children and impoverished families. One Simple Wish founder and Executive Director, Danielle Gletow, is an awesome face for the organization, caring and passionate about the cause.

my own life. As a foster child, I am eligible for the Wish Granting program. I have had wishes granted for me. In addition, I may be participating in the Wish to Work program soon!

Increase the funding so that full-time staff can be hired!
One Simpe Wish is a wonderfuil organization that connects folks who want to help children with the children in need. In our case, we are fostering a multiply handicapped and cortically blind young man with many developmental delays. OSW was able to provide him with a floor mat and play yard which gives him the freedom to roll on the floor without fear of hurting himself. This gives him the opportunity to spend time out of his wheelchair, increasing his mobility and strengthening his muscles.

One Simple Wish is a wonderful organization that grants wishes for children in foster care so that they too can have some of the oppurtunities or items that other children do. One of the children I case manage in foster care received a Kindle electronic reader so that he could practice reading and he was so happy to receive it. Thank you One Simple Wish for making wishes come true for so many children in foster care.

I think this organization is doing a great job. I will continue to tell my co-workers and other staff about this great organization so that they too can request/donate wishes to foster children.
One Simple Wish is absolutely amazing. Their process has been simple and seamless. One Simple Wish helps people in need that have relationships with local non-profits. You can trust that wishes you grant are going to someone who would not be able to buy or experience the wish unless it were granted via One Simple Wish.
Newark Now has already entered in several wishes that have been granted.

- 4 tickets to the UniverSoul Circus
- Tickets to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center
In addition they have even taken on the painstaking task of entering 200 wishes on our behalf that were made at our Community Baby Shower.

One Simple Wish helped get the word out about Newark Now's 2nd Annual Community Baby Shower. Through One Simple Wish we were able to give several new moms in need strollers, baby bags, car seats, breast pumps, baby wipes, and baby bottles. All it took was writing One Simple Wish. In addition they took over 200 wishes at the shower and granted three of them on-site.

I have only been with One Simple WIsh for almost two months now, but I can already tell what an amazing organization this is! Everyone involved, whether they're Board Members or Volunteers, is passionate about the mission of OSW. The impact on a child when a "simple" wish is granted is enormous; not only do they get something special and personalized that they've been wanting, they also gain the knowledge that there are people out there who care about them and their future. It has been an honor to be part of an organization filled with individuals who work extremely hard to make children feel special and advocate for a group that needs it!

Make it bigger so it could reach even more children!!
OSW is a wonderful organization with a wonderful mission. It's great that the focus is to provide for those who are often left without a voice- even in the non-profit world. Even if you can't 'be there' physically, you can make your presence known by granting a wish. It's cool to visit the website and see a wish. At that point, it really becomes personal and you really do feel good after helping. Great idea and great progress so far. I see big things for OSW.

One Simple Wish is such a wonderful organization that is doing tremendous things for foster and impoverished children. It is made up of passionate volunteers and Board members who truly want to make a difference in the lives of children. There are many ways in which people can get involved. You can become a volunteer, help with programs or events or grant wishes from our website. Our first annual celebration called "A Night of 1000 Wishes" will be at the Trenton War Memorial on Saturday, September 24th at 6:00 p.m. We will be celebrating the 1500 wishes that have already been granted and the next 1000 wishes that will be granted. Come join us for that celebration. Also, May is Foster Care Awareness Month, so join in and purchase our blue arm bracelets that are available at our website: OneSimpleWish.org.

Win the lottery and donate $1 million dollars so all of the wishes can be granted.
What a wonderful organization. This charity tends to the needs of children who have so little. I especially like the fact that you know exactly where your dollars go.

I would not change a thing.
OSW allows anyone with any means to help a child, other non-profits or a family in need. A friend calls it "e-bay for charity" without the bidding. You just scroll through the list of desires from pre-screened wish seekers and choose who and what gift/wish you want to grant. The wishes are anywhere from $5 - $500. The average being around $50. You check out online and the wish is granted. How easy is that! The best part is that you know where and to whom your gift is going. What a creative and successfully run non-profit organization!

Expand it Nationally!
One Simple Wish is that rare thing - a great idea, executed well. I heard of the charity through a friend, and immediately was struck by how smart and straightforward it was. You give directly to the people you want to help. There is no fuzziness about where your money goes. You choose how much to give and who to give it to and what it will be spent on. I've granted wishes for all kinds of recipients - children close in age to my own kids, young mothers in need, teens who are striving to get ahead. The website is well thought out and the whole process feels warm and personal. I give to a number of small charities on an ongoing basis, and I can't always give as much as I would like or help all those I would like to help. But when I give to One Simple Wish I always feel that what I give is well used.

My experience is just as a donor. But I have involved my own kids in the experience too - we granted wishes for Christmas, and we chose them together, because I want my kids to learn to think of others and to know that even a small amount of help can mean a lot.

One of the only drawbacks of this organization - that some worthy wishes were too expensive for me, and possibly many other donors, to fund in total - has now been changed. It is now possible to donate small amounts to a big wish if you can't afford to fund the whole thing. Good thinking.
