This wonderful organization has provided a beautiful message to the young girls that participate in our program, Youth and Family Enrichment Services, G.I.R.L.S Program, servicing San Mateo County, that they have value and significance to the community, regardless of the economic, racial, and ethnic challenges that they face. YFES' serves the most disenfranchised population in SMC, and My New Red Shoes supports our message that each participant is unique, with special gifts to be celebrated!

- I've seen the results of this organization in... the beautiful smiles and expressions of delight and suprise when the program participants realize how they are valued.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... their inclusiveness, warmth and care regarding the San Mateo County community.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... warm, supportive, flexible and caring.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Expand. It would be wonderful if a child could enroll and be supported throughout the school year. This support could include a Halloween ccostume, Holiday shoes, birthday suprise, etc.
Ways to make it better!
- My experience would have been better if... we had had a chance to meet face to face.
- If I ran this organization, I would... host an open house to present the volunteers.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... continued funding.
- One thing I'd also say is that... I am grateful for My New Red Shoes and their continued support of our program participants

I am excited to see the impact My New Red Shoes has on homeless children. This organization is truly making a difference in the lives of so many children. Not only do the children benefit but so do their families. Parents of children who receive the new clothes and shoes describe not only the positive impact it makes on the children but how it relieves their worries and pressure of not being able to provide for them.

- One thing I'd also say is that... the more people that know about My New Red Shoes, the more people there will be to support their mission.

I work for a large Bay Area non-profit on the Peninsula, and our organization serves families at risk for abuse and neglect. We often have clients with young children who are homeless, so gathering the resources to purchase clothing for school is sometimes a very daunting task.
My New Red Shoes fills the gap in our community by providing the opportunity for these children to feel confident and proud when they walk through the doors on the first day of school.
Our experiences with the organization, both this year and last, have been wonderful!

- I've seen the results of this organization in... that they delivered on their promises and helped us to serve so many families in San Mateo county.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... volunteers make little pouches, individually tagged for the children. It's such a nice touch.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... friendly, patient, and on top of things!
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... do so much...including helping to clothe homeless children year round.

- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... the need is so great is our county.
My New Red Shoes is an excellent organization, focused on meeting the needs of children who struggle every day in the Bay Area. They fulfill their mission with keen expertise and great passion, working hard to engage our community in service and understanding of the needs of the least among us.

- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Expand to provide similar services to homeless children across the nation.

- My experience would have been better if... We were able to raise additional funding to adopt even more children.

- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... Ongoing funding changes in the Valley.
- One thing I'd also say is that... This is a strong, committed organization dedicated to improving the lives of children who are homeless and at risk of homelessness.
