I was a General Member of the Public & We placed a statue in his memory,and will continue to help the shelter any way we can.

My wife and I were very pleased to come home from the shelter with our new peke named Davinchi.We wre blessed to have him in our lives for almost 5 yrs.During this past summer of 08 a pittbull came into our yard and into our screen door taking little Davinchi away.The pittbull was put down by the local police dept and our vinch was gone.My wife and I love our dogs as our children,and they know it too.When the word got out of our loss,many people were there for us but once again the wonderful people at cumberland valley were there.They all knew Davinchi and loved him like we do.I just want to send special thanks to Jamie,Megan,and Carol, and to all the great people there.Thanks for what you do.God Bless.The Mahers

- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... Like family.They understand you and your needs to give the pet a happy home and make sure your happy too.
Ways to make it better!
- One thing I'd also say is that... We need to make stronger dog laws in Pa for these want to be pet owners who breed dogs to be mean and only get a small fine.I will contine to fight these people who own these dogs,with or without the support of dog law officers, or city officials.
CVAS is a well-run shelter with an extremely dedicated staff. They have transformed the shelter from a sad place to a shelter the public does not feel traumatized by when trying to adopt an animal.

- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Build a new shelter and create a very necessary humane environment for animals and staff

- My experience would have been better if... the Shelter could have the resources for a full-time cruelty investigator
- If I ran this organization, I would... wish the community would be more supportive
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... the need for a new shelter and the financial resources to provide the necessary services to the community
- One thing I'd also say is that... it is amazing to see how primitive and antiquated the building is
