Bhumi

The way they educate children who are in real need are great. They are different, not like other schools where children comes to class with their head down. Bhumi makes children to involve in education. They plant trees. We have lot of fun while doing services.. this makes us to involve more in serving people.

Bhumi is wonderfully organized and minute details like materials for extra activity sheets for each class is taken care of. Regular training sessions are provided for volunteers so they can effectively teach kids. Suggestions for making the class interesting is pooled and the volunteers try those out.

I have been associated with Bhumi for a very short period through the TeachIndia Campaign and have not yet got the opportunity to render a helping hand, I would like to appreciate and publicize their laudable services to the children at ICCW. Their MAD ( Make-a-difference) campaign is what impressed me the most

Bhumi has given me hope that people still have some humanity left in them and they still think of and care for their fellow beings who are less fortunate, even admist their busy schedules. Bhumi is endowing young minds with the treasure trove of knowledge. And I am happy to be a part of it.

Bhumi is one organization that addresses the main problems in development of India,"EDUCATION FOR THE POOR".The drive carried out by Bhumi is so good that it reaches even the remote villages. My Experience recent experience with Bhumi is when I went for a Inauguration of Computer center in a remote village that located nearly 80 Kms from Chennai and you can hardly reach the place by a public transport. One thing that moved me was Bhumi had setup a well equiped computer center where getting a electricity connection is a big deal. The students had a lot of zeal and interest for learning and am sure they will reach horizons. One thing that struck my mind when I left the place is that "BHUMI IS DOING A GREAT JOB FOR A NOBLE CAUSE AND I MUST DO MY BEST TO HELP IT"

There is a famous saying in Tamil that "Its better to construct one school rather than to construct hundred temples" People here in Bhumi knows the value of education and the impact that can create in a man's life. I hope thats why they had chosen this path of educating the future pillars of India. Though i am not a volunteer in this, Most of my friends are working actively in this task.
