Adam's Camp is a wonderful organization on many levels. Working at Camp is the highlight of my summer - every year. The quality of the staff and the opportunity to really impact others' lives is awesome.
I feel the most significant contribution Adam's Camp makes is to the families and therapists who support the children and their development. The longer I am part of Adam's Camp, the deeper my appreciation of the impact Camp has on the lives of the families. I wish there were more quality opportunities for families in this population. I also appreciate the professional development that occurs throught the collaboration of therapists; I know I return from Camp with many new ideas that I incorporate into my regular practice.
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... the development of the Leadership program. I am so inspired after every session. The growth and devleopment of each Camper through their week is tremendous. And the reports we hear after Camp demonstrate that the learning does go home and continues to improve the quality of the Camper's life.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... The collaborative approach. Using professionals from a variety of disciplines - respecting all viewpoints - only benefits the client families.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... Wonderful.. All truly dedicated to bringing the best to Camp.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Sow the seeds of Adam's Camp throughout the nation (and world!)
Ways to make it better!
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... intelligent expansion. It is so difficult to balance the needs and demands of the population with the real constraints of operating a quality progam.
- One thing I'd also say is that... If any organization is up to the task...it's Adam's Camp!
