Respond to Need
You are responding to need MENTOR!:
Share what you know, learn together with a young person who would benefit from a mentor.
The job description is clear:
a) available approx. 4 hrs. per month
b) a good listener
c) open to sharing experiences and learning together
Training is provided and there are many different opportunities. Examples include:
1) Reading with a child for 1 hr. each week at your neighborhood library
2) signing on to be a Big Brother or Big Sister
3) helping a child with school work at his/her school for 1 hr. each week during the school day
4) meeting with a high-school student to explore careers
Training is provided.
