Internship
The Human Services Center Corporation (HSCC, located in Turtle Creek, PA) seeks student interns interested in macro-level organizing related to collaboration and youth issues for its various programs. There are three respective internships available: one with the McKeesport Collaborative, Mon Valley Providers Council (MVPC), and Youth LIFE (Learning In a Fun Environment) After-School Program respectively. A little bit of time, a BIG difference
Did you know that 2 hours a month is all it takes to help keep one of your elder neighbors out of a nursing home? The Elder Outreach Volunteer Program, part of Hilltop Health Ministries Consortium, is recruiting volunteers to join a compassionate group (many are senior citizens, themselves) who help elder residents to live independently in their homes. A friendly phone call or visit, a trip to the doctor or grocery store, help with a light chore from time-to-time, or praying with someone can make all the difference in the world.
